Get the HullGrade app

HullGrade installs straight from your browser. No app store, nothing to download, and it updates itself. Two minutes, once.

✓ You’re already using the installed app. Next step: turn on notifications below.

iPhone or iPad, in Safari

  1. Open app.hullgrade.com in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap the button at the end of the address bar.
  3. Tap Share.
  4. Tap Add to Home Screen. If it isn’t in the list, tap View More first.
  5. Tap Add. HullGrade is now on your Home Screen — open it from there.

On older iPhones there is no ⋯ step: the Share button sits at the bottom of the screen.

iPhone or iPad, in Chrome

  1. Open app.hullgrade.com in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap the Share button beside the address bar (not the ⋯ menu).
  3. Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add. Open HullGrade from the new icon.

Can’t find it? Open the same address in Safari and use the Safari steps — you end up with the exact same app.

Android

  1. Open app.hullgrade.com in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap Install on the card at the top of the page — or open Chrome’s menu and tap Add to Home screen / Install app.
  3. Confirm. HullGrade opens full screen from its own icon.

Samsung Internet and Edge work the same way from their own menus.

Mac or PC

  1. Chrome or Edge: look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow) and click it, or open the browser menu and choose Install HullGrade.
  2. Safari on Mac: click the Share button at the top right of the window, then Add to Dock. (Also under FileAdd to Dock….) HullGrade becomes its own app in your Dock.

Turn on notifications

Once installed, HullGrade can tell you when a task goes overdue or comes due within the week — on the lock screen, the same moments as the reminder emails.

On iPhone this only works from the installed app, never from a browser tab. Open HullGrade from its Home Screen icon, go to AccountNotifications on this device, tap Turn on, and allow the prompt. Send a test proves it landed.

On Android and on a computer the same switch works from a normal tab too.

Why this and not the App Store?

The installed app is the real HullGrade, not a copy: every improvement reaches it the moment we ship, with nothing to update. It also means one login, one set of records, on every device you own.
